Most of our hydration packs come with the Plug-N-Play Connector. Some come with a Classic Connector which is fixed. If you’d like to see why the Plug-N-Play is a cool feature or upgrade from your Classic Connector, check out the video:
Our E-Lite Running Vest tester and ultra running phenom Brett Rivers used a prototype at the Tahoe Rim 100 Mile Endurance Run and finished 2nd overall. In the photo below, Brett is seen with an early model and seems to have put the Vest and Gel-bot to good use during the hot mountainous race.
Congratulations Brett and thanks for all of your feedback over the last few months.
The final version of the E-Lite Vest will be unveiled at the Outdoor Retailer Trade Show in Salt Lake City next week and available to consumers this September. It will come with a sweet One Liter Reservoir with Plug-N-Play and Quantum Clip. We like it a lot.
Why call it the E-Lite? It only weighs 9.9 ounces including the reservoir.
More details coming soon………
With a 100 Mile course that goes over three 12,000′ passes, the Breckenridge 100 is arguably one of the more difficult races in mountain biking. Being part of the National Ultra Endurance Series also makes it highly competitive.
Having won the race for 5 of the previous years, Hydrapak Rider and local, Josh Tostado, may have felt a little pressure. But he was able to put the hammer down again and win for a sixth time this past weekend. Congratulations Josh!
Please check out Josh’s report and some local news versions for race details.
Just checking out Mike Curiak’s Blog and his recent post on a trip to B.C. and the Whistler Bike Park. It sounds like fun and the videos are pretty cool as Mike follows his buddy, Skippy, down some great groomers and table tops. Check out more at: Curiak’s Blog

First, let me say I loved my first hydrapak. Reversible and nearly indestructable. It’s the latter that I miss. The plastic closing system is terrible. The first week owning this model the glued on string broke off. You can guess what happened next. Yep, several weeks later, the plastic thingy was lost. I miss the velcro. It was simple and indestructable and you couldn’t lose it. Maybe you couldn’t drive a forklift over it, but who cares? Is driving over your hydration system part of your regular treatment? Please, Hydrapak, bring back the velcro closure. Till then, I’m stuck using a second rate product.
Hey Dan,
Sorry to hear about your string breaking. Sometimes it happens. We haven’t had an influx of warranty problems on the new reservoir and would be happy to replace yours. Give me a call. – Jim @ hydrapak 510-632-8318.
We feel that the new design is superior to the velcro in both creating a better seal and being easy to fill and dry. Can you drive a forklift over it? Yep. Is that common on the trail? You’re right, probably not. But we were just having fun on a lazy afternoon and wanted people to watch something more interesting than most other corporate product videos.
