The Breakaway Surge’s beauty is its simplicity. The lightweight performance design starts with our Surge™ Cap — self-sealing, it delivers high-flow hydration on the move. The bottles are slim and ergonomic to fit comfortably and securely in your hand and cage, and the ultrathin side walls make squeezing easy, so focus stays on the ride, not the bottle.

I’ve used Purist/Specialized water bottles for as long as I can remember. About a year ago I found the Hydrapak 30oz water bottle. At 4 more ounces than the largest Purist bottle, it made sense to give it a go. The ability to remove the mouthpiece/nozzle from the lid makes cleaning so much easier and the additional 8 oz I can carry on the bike with 2 bottles keeps me hydrated for a longer period of time before needing to refill. Glad I found these bottles.

These bottles clean quite easily, and the larger volume (I went up from 500ml) is great for added drinkable nutrition for longer rides. The valves are wide and don't blast an annoying jet of fluid when you squeeze them.
Good value, too.

I was gifted the two pack black bottle with red lid hydropak bottles and within my first ride I noticed that the water would not consistently come out when I squeeze the bottle. After a very frustrating ride, I contacted Hydra pack and they sent me two new bottles, making the assumption that it was a defective two pack. Well, I found out it's the bottles themselves. Very ineffective and unsure why they keep manufacturing them when they do not work. I'm off to buy specialized water bottles as I've heard they are excellent.

I was given a hydra pack with muck guard at Unbound. After one ride, I bought a second. They keep all the dust and mud off while allowing me to carry 30oz per bottle on my rides. Highly recommend.
