After relying on Hydrapak soft flasks for over ten years, I decided to switch to the UltraFlask Speed to shave seconds off my aid station refills during races. That was a major error.
I find it hard to believe this cap underwent any real-world testing. It's tough to pry open, especially with sweaty hands, but securing it is nearly impossible without causing a spill. The clasp is exceptionally stiff, and because there’s almost nothing solid to grip on to, you end up pressing down on the soft flask itself, which inevitably forces liquid to spray everywhere. While a secure seal is necessary, the design desperately needs a more intuitive way to latch the cap shut.
Used it for a single race. Never again. It feels over-engineered, underdeveloped, and completely untested.

Perfect fit for my vest even though I was suspicious!

These are smaller than every other 500ml flasks. I've tested it, and they definitely hold less water. The speed fill caps are less sturdy than the previous version, these don't snap into place as securely.

As described! More durable longer than other soft flasks I’ve had.
